The City of Vista welcomes residents to participate in the development of its Sustainable Mobility Plan (SMP), a key initiative aimed at creating a safer, healthier, and more connected community. This forward-thinking plan seeks to improve upon Vista’s transportation system, enhancing connections between neighborhoods and essential destinations like jobs, schools, transit, and daily services. The SMP will identify current barriers to mobility and establish solutions designed to deliver reliable, safe, and accessible transportation options for all.

Community input is a vital part of this process. Your ideas, feedback, and experiences will help identify existing barriers and guide solutions. The City will host several outreach activities to ensure the plan reflects the needs and priorities of Vista’s residents:

​➤ School Walk Audits: The project team will evaluate a ½ mile radius around the Vista Unified School District schools. Join us for the walks to provide input!

 ➤ Community Pop-Ups: The project team will attend 5 events across the City such as farmers markets or park events to provide key project information and collect community input.

➤ Workshops: The project team will host 3 workshops at key milestones to refine the plan.

​
